# Introduction

The year was 1971, and the global economy was undergoing a seismic transformation. On August 15th of that year, President Richard Nixon stood before the American people to announce unprecedented steps that would forever change the direction of international finance. This historic event, known as the Nixon Shock, marked the end of an era and the start of a new chapter in global economics.

Until 1971, after the Bretton Woods system, the international monetary system required that all fiat currencies used for international transactions be tied to gold at a set rate of $35 per ounce. This compelled all major currencies to purchase gold as reserves and issue money correspondingly. This arrangement provided a sense of stability to global financial markets and facilitated international trade by reducing exchange rate uncertainty.

On that fateful day in August, President Nixon took to the airwaves to address the nation and announce a series of radical measures aimed at restoring economic stability. The chief among these was the suspension of the dollar's convertibility into gold, effectively severing the last remaining link between major currencies and the precious metal.

The Nixon Shock had immediate and extensive, far-reaching consequences. This paved the way for a new age of fiat currencies, where the value of money was established by government decree instead of being based on a fixed asset. The enhanced flexibility in monetary policy sparked this new economic development but also brought new difficulties, such as rising inflationary pressures and exchange currency instability.

By the time of the 2008 financial crisis in the United States, it is estimated that they had printed over 8 trillion dollars, whereas they possessed only approximately 8,133.5 metric tons of gold, which were valued at only a few hundred billion dollars. This situation fostered financial insecurity regarding the US economy, prompting a significant sell-off of US dollars. Amidst the fallout from the crisis, In the aftermath of the crisis, a new technological innovation arose that promised to revolutionise not only financial services but also a variety of other industries: blockchain technology.

On October 31st, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto unveiled the white paper introducing Bitcoin (BTC) - BTC: An Electronic Cash System in the Peer-to-Peer Network, At the heart of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, lies blockchain technology which serves as the foundational framework enabling their operation. Since then, the value of digital assets that incorporate blockchain technology has skyrocketed, with an estimated market valuation of trillions of dollars.

In an ideal future, all flows of funds happen on a public blockchain. Picture yourself as an Individual from India who is a cotton trader selling your exquisite suvin cotton online. You exclusively accept USDT as payment, and all your suppliers for farm materials also agree to USDT transactions. USDT operates on various protocols, but let's assume you opt for the ERC-20 version. That means you can verify what was paid and what was earned for every cotton sold.

Now for a corporation, think as your accountant compiles the usual cash flow, balance sheet, and income statements. However, in addition, the accountant's ledger can also be confirmed objectively, through inquiries to the blockchain, that the payments were indeed made and received as indicated in the statements. For this scenario, you don't require an external third-party accounting or auditing company to validate your honesty for a fee; Ethereum or any blockchain for that matter provides this verification at no cost. In particular, the recent developments of cryptocurrency ETFs by industry giants such as BlackRock and Fidelity have contributed to the surge in demand. These ETFs offer investors a convenient and regulated way to gain exposure to cryptocurrencies without the complexities of directly purchasing and storing digital assets.

We are going to forge partnerships with prominent cryptocurrency exchanges to consolidate liquidity and maintain substantial order books. This integration enables us to provide users with access to an extensive liquidity pool, facilitating streamlined trading processes and competitive pricing structures.

Futures trading is the purchase or sale of contracts that oblige the parties to buy or sell a set amount of cryptocurrencies at a defined price on a future date. Our futures trading tool enables customers to leverage their holdings and potentially increase their trading profits.

### Leverage Trading

We provides leverage trading with ratios reaching up to 125x, enabling users to amplify their investments and potentially boost profits. While higher leverage can enhance earnings, it also escalates the risk of losses, underscoring the importance of implementing effective risk management strategies for traders.

### Advanced Risk Management

Our traders can utilise stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing stop orders to manage risk and protect their assets.

### Liquidation Protection

We offer strong risk management rules to avoid forced liquidations and safeguard users from excessive losses.

### Long and Short Positions

Our traders can make profits from futures contracts by holding long positions during price increases and short positions when prices drop. This strategy enables them to benefit from both positive and negative market conditions.

### Real-Time Market Data

Traders can dive into the world of real-time market data, like price charts, order book depth, and trading volume, to unlock the secrets of the market and ride the waves of trends

# Margin Trading

We empower our traders to expand their purchasing power and potentially boost returns by utilising borrowed funds for asset trading. This approach presents appealing profit potentials but carries heightened risks that could result in significant losses during unfavourable market conditions.

### Leverage

We provide leverage ratios of 2x to 5x for cryptocurrencies, enabling traders to manage larger portfolios. Traders should use strong risk management strategies due to the potential for significant gains and losses.

### Flexible Borrowing Options

Users possess the flexibility to select the desired borrowing amount, empowering them to manage their leverage and risk exposure effectively. This capability enables traders to customize their margin positions according to their risk tolerance and trading tactics.

### Margin Call

If the collateral value drops below the maintenance margin, We will issue a margin call, at that moment traders must add funds or decrease positions to comply to avoid asset liquidation at disadvantageous prices. Monitoring margin levels diligently is crucial.

### Margin Funding

Our users have the opportunity to earn interest by adding liquidity to the margin trading pool, which enhances the platform's liquidity and stability.

### Margin Modes

**Cross Margin:** Cross Margin uses all cryptocurrencies in the margin wallet as collateral for all positions, providing flexibility but increasing risk as a significant drop in one position can trigger a margin call impacting all assets.

**Isolated Margin:** Isolated Margin mode lets traders use specific cryptocurrencies as collateral for individual margin positions, improving risk management by limiting losses and potentially increasing profits.

# Copy Trading

Copy Trading is a functionality that enables users to replicate the trading actions of elite traders, automatically mirroring their trades and potentially yielding profits or losses. This feature relieves users from the responsibility of independently managing positions and monitoring market movements, as all actions taken by the traders they follow are automatically duplicated. Users can mitigate risk by spreading their investments across multiple traders, this saves time by automating the process of identifying trading opportunities and executing trades, freeing users from the need to conduct extensive research or analysis.

Users have the option to review the profiles of master traders to assess their statistics, activity, and follower count. Additionally, users can configure profit-sharing rates and view follower and master statistics on their profiles.

Copy trading on Nomoex introduces an innovative feature that facilitates a connection between seasoned traders and beginners. This functionality allows traders to automatically copy the trades executed by successful investors. By adopting this approach, individuals can benefit from the skills and tactics of adept traders without the need for in-depth market understanding or intensive research.

### Copy by Fixed Amount

Copy directly according to the number of each order placed by the trader. However, if the trader's balance is insufficient, the maximum number of orders that can be placed is determined based on the available balance.

### Copy by Fixed Percentage

The "Order Amount" will be calculated proportionally by referencing the ratio of each order placed by the trader to their futures balance. The order amount for each order will be determined based on this ratio and the copy trading amount allocated by you.

# NomoPay

The demand to create Crypto payment gateways increased right after Tesla’s founder Elon Musk declared – ‘Customers can buy cars using Bitcoins.’ Crypto payments in C2B(Consumer to Business) merchant acceptance are still nascent today. Crypto merchant payments today represent an estimated annual volume of $6 billion, a tiny fraction of the $10 trillion C2B global eCommerce market.

## To make a crypto payment

### Complex Method

The recipient's blockchain wallet address is required. The payer must copy and paste this address into the appropriate field in their own crypto wallet, enter the amount of payment, and confirm the transaction.&#x20;

Simplifying cryptocurrency payments and acceptance involves a more intricate process compared to credit/debit card transactions. To initiate crypto transactions, customers must possess a crypto wallet, while merchants must integrate a crypto payment gateway into their systems.

### NomoPay Method

Nomopay payment processing is both simple and efficient. The process begins with the customer opening their crypto wallet, scanning the QR code provided on the merchant's website or scanning the QR code displayed in front, and confirming the transaction with a PIN code or any other authentication method. Once the funds are successfully transferred to the designated account, the designated network like Bitcoin promptly recognises and verifies the payment.

Implementing blockchain technology makes sure that the transactions are securely recorded in a transparent and immutable ledger. While the transaction details are accessible to everyone, no party can alter or falsify the transaction record. This feature enhances trust and reliability in the payment system.

After securely crediting the merchant's account with funds, they have the option to either convert them into fiat currency or keep them in cryptocurrency. However, if the product or service is linked to a fiat currency equivalent, like USD, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential impact of exchange rate volatility.

## Benefits

### Easy to use

Nomopay is designed with an easy-to-use interface, removing barriers to Crypto adoption and making it accessible to both beginners and experienced crypto users. This simplicity is vital for encouraging the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies as a viable payment option.

### Multi-Crypto Support

We offer multi-currency Wallet Support, accommodating both fiat and crypto within a single wallet. This feature ensures wider acceptance and versatility in crypto usage. Moreover, with the integration of crypto cards, users can now conveniently use their digital assets for everyday transactions, similar to using a standard debit card.

### User-Centric Control

Empowering users to choose between fiat and crypto for each transaction puts control in their hands. This option is vital for users seeking to take advantage of market trends and efficiently handle their financial resources.

### Seamless Integration

NomoPay integrates smoothly with the broader Nomoex ecosystem, enhancing the user experience by enabling quick and effortless transfers between partner wallets and banks. This integration streamlines the transfer of funds, reduces transaction times, and simplifies the financial operations for users.

## NomoCards

By introducing a card product like this, we aimed to address a significant challenge in cryptocurrencies, specifically their limited adoption and acceptance. By enabling users to utilise crypto cards at establishments accepting traditional debit or credit cards, Nomopay effectively bridges the gap between digital currencies and conventional financial systems. Moreover, Nomopay's efficient mechanism for converting cryptocurrencies to fiat currencies facilitates smooth transitions between digital and traditional monetary realms.

# NomoDEX

#### “Crypto perpetual futures are financial derivatives traded on cryptocurrency exchanges”

The crypto-derivatives market has surpassed the crypto spot market in trading volume, driven by continuous expansion and the introduction of new products. While crypto derivatives introduce novel tradable assets, they share several characteristics with traditional derivatives. These derivatives, considered secondary contracts or financial instruments, derive their value from a primary underlying asset, such as Bitcoin.

### Perpetual Futures with DEX

NomoDEX represents a sophisticated feature created by Nomoex, providing traders with a state-of-the-art experience in decentralised perpetual futures trading. Cryptocurrency perpetual futures are financial instruments traded on digital asset exchanges, enabling traders to forecast the future prices of cryptocurrencies without a predefined expiration date.

### Leverage Mechanisms

Leveraged trading allows traders to amplify their positions by borrowing funds to increase their buying power. While leverage can amplify profits, it also introduces additional risks. NomoDEX addresses this challenge by offering a range of leverage mechanisms tailored to meet the diverse needs of traders.

### Risk Management

#### Partial Liquidation:

The margin ratio serves as a gauge for assessing the risk associated with users' assets. Liquidation is triggered when the margin ratio falls at or below 0%. It is advised that you pay close attention to margin ratio changes, to avoid your positions from liquidation.

#### Insurance Funds and Clawback Mechanism:

Insurance funds are established to mitigate losses incurred from forced liquidation. In a volatile market, users' positions may face liquidation. If orders cannot be executed at the takeover price, resulting in substantial losses exceeding the capacity of insurance funds, the platform will enact the "clawback" mechanism. Under this mechanism, profitable accounts in the current period compensate for the excess losses from liquidation based on their profit ratios.

# Perpetual Contracts

In traditional futures contracts, there is an expiration date when the contract settles, and the futures price converges with the spot price. However, perpetual futures, also known as perpetual swaps, have no expiration date or delivery, meaning the contract can theoretically remain open indefinitely.

#### Funding Rate

To prevent the perpetual futures price from deviating too far from the underlying asset's spot price, a mechanism called the "funding rate" is employed.&#x20;

The funding rate is calculated based on the premium or discount of the perpetual futures price relative to the spot price. If the perpetual futures price is trading at a premium to the spot price, long positions pay a funding fee to short positions. Conversely, if the perpetual futures price is trading at a discount to the spot price, short positions pay a funding fee to long positions.

This funding rate mechanism acts as a price rebalancing force, encouraging traders to open positions that counter the imbalance between the perpetual futures price and the spot price. By incentivizing traders to take opposing positions, the funding rate helps anchor the perpetual futures price to the spot price, maintaining a more stable and efficient market.

The funding rate is typically calculated and paid out every 8 hours or once per trading day.

**Example:**

Consider the Bitcoin perpetual futures contract traded on a major cryptocurrency exchange. The funding rate is calculated based on the difference between the Bitcoin's perpetual price and Bitcoin's spot price. If the perpetual futures price is trading at a premium to the spot price, say $100,500 vs $100,000, traders with long positions pay a small funding fee to those with short positions, incentivizing more short positions to open and bring the futures price back in line with spot. Conversely, if the perpetual futures price is at a discount, like $99,500 vs $100,000 spot, short positions pay a fee to longs, encouraging more longs to open and reduce the discount. The funding rate, typically calculated and paid every 8 hours or daily, considers factors like premium/discount levels, open interest, and trading volumes to determine the appropriate fee amount that will help anchor the perpetual futures price to Bitcoin's spot price, maintaining a balanced and efficient market.

**Funding Rate Calculation**

The funding rate consists of two parts: composite and premium rate.

1. Composite Rate: The composite rate is the baseline funding rate that reflects the difference between the perpetual futures price and the underlying spot price. It is calculated based on the premium or discount of the perpetual futures price relative to the spot price.

Composite rate = (quote currency interest rate – underlying currency interest rate) / funding rate settlement frequency

2. Premium Rate: The premium is an additional component that accounts for the inherent risk associated with holding perpetual futures positions. It is typically a fixed rate determined by the exchange and is paid by long positions to short positions.

# Mark Price

**What is a Marked Price?**&#x20;

To enhance market stability and mitigate unnecessary forced liquidations during periods of abnormal volatility, we employ the marked price for calculating users' unrealized profits and losses, as well as triggering forced position reductions.

**Marked Price Algorithm**&#x20;

Marked Price = Median (Latest Price, Reasonable Price, Moving Average Price)

The marked price incorporates both the spot index price and the moving average of the basis deviation. The moving average mechanism smooths out short-term contract price fluctuations, thereby reducing unnecessary forced liquidations caused by abnormal price movements.

# Index Price

**What is Index Price?**

The index price is based on the latest transaction price of the standard currency pair of the mainstream exchange in the market and the median buy-to-sell median, weighted average, calculated and obtained index price, which can represent the fair market price of the currency pair.

**Index Exception Handling**

**Removing Invalid Prices:** If any source exchange price is not updated within 40 seconds and significantly deviates from the previous value, we consider it not valid and reset the price for that pair to zero.

**Abnormal Price Correction:** When an exchange's price deviates from other exchanges by ±3% of the median deviation of all source exchange prices (including itself), we recalculate its price to the median ±3% of the remaining exchange prices. For example, if the USDT median deviation reaches ±3%, we recalculate that exchange's price to the median ±3% of the sample.

This mitigates outliers and ensures index price integrity by adjusting excessively deviating prices.

# Insurance Fund

**What is the Insurance Fund?**&#x20;

The insurance fund is a mechanism designed to compensate for losses incurred during liquidations under extreme market conditions. Its purpose is to reduce the likelihood of users' positions being subject to Auto-Deleveraging (ADL).

**How are Insurance Funds Generated?**

&#x20;The profits generated from positions taken over by the liquidation engine are injected into the insurance fund. When a liquidation occurs, the liquidation engine assumes control of the user's position and remaining margin at the bankruptcy price. If the liquidation engine closes the position at a more favorable price than the bankruptcy price, it generates profits, which are then added to the insurance fund.

**How are Insurance Funds Utilized?**&#x20;

Upon a liquidation event, the liquidation engine takes over the user's position and remaining margin at the bankruptcy price. After the insurance fund compensates a certain amount, it calculates the closing price for the assumed position and submits a liquidation order to the market at that price. If the order cannot be executed, ADL is triggered. By utilizing the insurance fund compensation, it becomes easier to close the position, reducing the possibility of Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) for users.

All perpetual contracts denominated in the same margin currency share a common insurance fund.

# ADL

### What is Auto-Deleveraging? <a href="#what-is-auto-deleveraging" id="what-is-auto-deleveraging"></a>

ADL is a safety mechanism used by trading platforms to manage risk during volatile market conditions. When a trader's position loses value and puts the platform at risk, ADL can automatically sell off some of the trader's assets to limit the potential loss.

#### ADL ranking <a href="#adl-ranking" id="adl-ranking"></a>

The ranking of ADL is based on the leverage return of the position (profit and loss ratio and effective leverage used). The greater the leverage return, the higher the ranking. The traders with the highest ranking in the system will be selected first by the ADL engine.

Traders can check the priority level of the current position in the automatic deleveraging sequence through the "Auto-deleveraging indicator light". There are 5 indicator lights in total. The more lights on, the higher it is in the ranking(from green to red).

#### ADL trigger <a href="#adl-trigger" id="adl-trigger"></a>

After ADL triggers, the platform identifies the top-ranked account based on leverage exposure. It then executes a transaction with this account at a new price derived from the bankruptcy price and insurance fund compensation.

For isolated positions, both long and short are susceptible to ADL transactions.

Under cross-margin mode, fully hedged positions are exempt from ADL selection. However, if positions are partially unhedged, the unhedged portion may be affected by ADL, while the hedged part remains unaffected.

Positions subject to ADL do not incur any handling fees.

The key points covered are the account selection criteria, pricing mechanism, isolated vs cross-margin position treatment, and the fee exemption for ADL transactions.

#### ADL completed <a href="#adl-completed" id="adl-completed"></a>

When the user's position is automatically reduced, the relevant contract position of the account is reduced, and the profit from the position is converted into the account balance.

Traders will receive SMS or email notifications informing them of the reduced positions and the reduction price. At the same time, they can also find the record marked as "ADL" on the historical order page.

After ADL is completed, traders are free to re-enter the market for trading.

### How to reduce the risk of auto-deleveraging? <a href="#how-to-reduce-the-risk-of-auto-deleveraging" id="how-to-reduce-the-risk-of-auto-deleveraging"></a>

ADL is an exceptional risk management measure that is triggered only under extreme market conditions. During regular trading periods, traders need not be concerned about being selected by the ADL engine. However, if extreme market circumstances arise and traders wish to mitigate the risk of being selected for ADL, they can consider the following steps:

1. Reducing the leverage employed in their positions will immediately lower their priority in the ADL queue.
2. While partially closing profitable positions will not directly reduce their position in the ADL queue, it will decrease the overall size of their positions that are subject to potential ADL, thereby limiting the associated risk.

In essence, lowering leverage brings an immediate reduction in ADL priority, while scaling down position sizes through partial profit-taking limits the exposure to ADL, even though it does not directly impact the queue ranking.

# USDT Perpetual Contract Introduction

**Margin**

USDT standard perpetual contracts, across all varieties, use the denominated currency USDT as collateral assets. Users only need to hold USDT to participate in trading any of the contract varieties. Currency-based perpetual contracts, on the other hand, use the underlying currency as the collateral asset. Users need to hold the corresponding currency to trade the specific contract symbol. For example, in the BTC/USD currency-based perpetual contract, users need to transfer BTC as the collateral asset.

Due to the different currencies used as collateral assets, the risk of collateral depreciation varies between the two contract types when prices fall. In the case of the BTC/USD currency-based perpetual contract, a higher collateral requirement is imposed on the user's position, necessitating the holding of more BTC as collateral. However, for the USDT standard perpetual contract, the value of the USDT collateral asset remains unaffected because the required collateral is USDT.

**Valuation Unit**&#x20;

A USDT standard perpetual contract is denominated in USDT, while a currency-based perpetual contract is denominated in US dollars. Consequently, the index prices between the two also differ. For example, the BTC/USDT index price is derived from the BTC spot price against USDT on each exchange, whereas the BTC/USD currency-based perpetual contract's index price is derived from the BTC spot price against USD on each exchange.

**Contract Face Value**&#x20;

The face value of each USDT standard perpetual contract is expressed in the corresponding underlying currency. For instance, the BTC/USDT contract has a face value of 0.001 BTC.

**Profit and Loss Currency**&#x20;

All varieties of USDT standard perpetual contracts calculate profits and losses in the denominated currency USDT. Currency-based perpetual contracts, on the other hand, calculate profits and losses in the underlying currency.

# Contract variety elements

All USDT contract basic parameters are as follows:

| Contract code | Margin coin | Contract face value | Minimum price variation | Minimum maintenance margin rate |
| ------------- | ----------- | ------------------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------------- |
| BTCUSDT       | USDT        | 0.0001 BTC          | 0.1 USDT                | 0.40%                           |
| ETHUSDT       | USDT        | 0.01 ETH            | 0.1 USDT                | 0.40%                           |

The above data and indicators content may be adjusted in real time according to market conditions, the adjustment will not be notified.

* **Contract Code:** This is a unique identifier for the contract, typically a combination of the base currency and the quote currency (e.g., BTCUSDT for Bitcoin Tether contract).
* **Margin Coin:** This is the currency required to maintain a position in the contract. In this case, both contracts use USDT (Tether).
* **Contract Face Value:** This represents the underlying value of a single contract. For BTCUSDT, it's 0.0001 BTC, meaning one contract controls the price movement of 0.0001 Bitcoin. Similarly, for ETHUSDT, it's 0.1 ETH, meaning one contract controls the price movement of 0.1 Ethereum.
* **Minimum Price Variation:** This is the smallest amount the price of the contract can change in one tick. For both contracts, the minimum price variation is 0.1 USDT.
* **Minimum Maintenance Margin Rate:** This is the minimum percentage of the position value that needs to be maintained in your account to avoid liquidation. In this case, both contracts require a minimum maintenance margin rate of 0.40%. This means if the value of your position falls below 0.40% of its original value, the platform may force you to sell some of your holdings to meet the minimum margin requirement.

# Leverage and position limit

It's a prudent risk management mechanism that aims to mitigate the potential for significant losses by adjusting the maximum available leverage based on the trader's position value. By lowering the maximum leverage for larger positions and vice versa, the system helps to control the overall risk exposure of individual traders, especially in volatile market conditions. This dynamic approach to leverage strikes a balance between providing traders with flexibility and managing systemic risk. It's a valuable safeguard that promotes responsible trading practices and contributes to the overall stability of the trading ecosystem.

[Conditional Order](/our-product/nomodex/functions/conditional-order)
{% endcontent-ref %}

# One-way and two-way positions

**One-way position mode**

In one-way position mode, a contract allows only one position in one direction. When the reverse opening behavior occurs, the existing position is closed before the opening is made.

For example, in a BTCUSDT contract, when you hold a long position of 1 BTC in one-way position mode and open a short position of 2 BTC, your position becomes a short position of 1 BTC.

**Two-way position mode**

In two-way position mode, a contract allows for holding positions in both long and short directions at the same time, and the opening behavior in the opposite direction opens positions in the opposite direction, but positions in the opposite direction do not hedge risks, and when the price moves in one direction, positions in one direction will close.

For example, in a BTCUSDT contract, when you hold a long position of 1 BTC in a two-way position mode and open a short position of 2 BTC, your position becomes a long position of 1 BTC and a short position of 2 BTC.

# Conditional Order

A Conditional Order (Trigger Order) is triggered only after a pre-set condition has been met. The trader specifies a trigger price to activate the order. The system currently uses the latest traded price as the trigger condition.

**Note**: Before triggering, the conditional order does not require any margin. This means traders can place any conditional order, but if the account lacks sufficient margin at the trigger time, the order will fail.

Currently, two types of conditional orders are offered:

**Conditional Limit Order**\
When the price reaches the pre-set trigger price, limit orders enter the order book at their specified limit price.

**Conditional Market Order**&#x20;

When the price reaches the pre-set trigger price, a market order is executed at the best available price at that time.

**Conditional Order Scenarios** Conditional orders are often used in the following scenarios:

* **Chasing Up**: For an open position, the trigger price is set above the current level. If the price breaches the upper level, it triggers a buy order to ride the uptrend.
* **Close Down**: For an open position, the trigger price is set below the current level. If the price falls below the lower level, it triggers a sell order to exit the position.
* **Take Profit**: For an open position, the trigger price is set at the desired profit target level. If the price reaches this level, it closes the position at the take-profit level.
* **Stop Loss**: For an open position, the trigger price is set at the maximum acceptable loss level. If the price reaches this level, it closes the position at the stop-loss level.

**Example** Chasing Scenario: when BTC is at $95,000, a trader predicted that if BTC broke through $100,000, it would accelerate its rise, and if it could not break through $100,000, it would not rise in the short term. To test this, the trader placed the following conditional order: "If the BTC price reaches $100,000, I'll buy and open one more BTC position; otherwise, leave it as is." Since the trader did not know whether and when BTC could reach $100,000, they could not constantly monitor the market. So, they placed a conditional order with the following parameters:

Trigger Price: $100,000 Order Direction: Buy\
Order Type: Market Order Order Quantity: 1 BTC

The execution logic of this conditional order is: it acts like a robot monitoring the market price. When the market price reaches the $100,000 trigger price, the robot immediately submits a market order to Buy 1 BTC. This market order will typically execute immediately, allowing the trader to open a long 1 BTC position around $100,000.

This scenario illustrates the use of a conditional order for chasing an upward breakout. Similarly, conditional orders can also be used to close down a position.

In addition to entering new positions on breakouts, conditional orders can also be used to close existing positions, utilizing the take-profit and stop-loss scenarios.

# Smart Trading Terminal

Our Smart trading terminal is the best platform to trade in both stable and volatile markets. The smart trading terminal enables traders to place multiple buy and sell orders at one trade. With this method, traders can place advanced order types.

### Novice Trade:

It's a straightforward process: you navigate to your preferred chart, and if you decide to buy, you simply click on 'market' or 'limit buy' to execute your order. From there, you monitor the chart, patiently waiting for the opportune moment to exit, whether at a profit or loss. While some traders opt for stop-loss orders, they may not always prove effective. Consider what happens if the price triggers your stop-loss and then immediately rebounds; in such cases, you've incurred a loss. Even with stop-losses in place, you're still required to diligently watch your trading terminal, constantly devising new strategies to turn a profit.

### Smart Trade(Long/Short):

Here in this example, we will see how Smart Trade can help you buy Bitcoin in a falling market; where the current price is around $100,000:

#### **1. Tailored Entry with Flexible Order Types:**

* **Market Order:** Execute an immediate purchase at the prevailing market price (around $100,000 in our example).
* **Limit Order:** Specify a desired purchase price (e.g., $95,000) for execution only when the market reaches that level.
* **Trailing Buy:** Establish a trigger price (e.g., $95,000) to activate a dynamic order that automatically adjusts its buy price downward (with a user-defined deviation) as the market price declines. This strategy aims to capitalise on a potentially more favourable entry point if the price continues to fall.

#### **2. Multi-Tiered Profit Taking for Strategic Realisation:**

* **Multiple Take Profit:** Implement a strategy that sets multiple sell orders at predetermined price targets (e.g., 5% and 10% profit). This allows for profit capture at various stages of a price increase, ensuring you don't miss out on potential gains.
* **Trailing Take Profit:** Enhance your profit protection by employing a trailing take profit feature. This feature automatically adjusts your sell order price downward (with a user-defined deviation) if the price falls after reaching your initial profit target. This helps safeguard your profits in volatile market conditions.

#### **3. Risk Management Arsenal: Stop-Loss Options for Market Fluctuations:**

* **Stop-Loss:** Establish a predetermined price threshold at which your Bitcoin holdings will be automatically sold to mitigate potential losses. Our Smart Trade offers a variety of stop-loss configurations:
* **Price-Based:** Set a specific price level (e.g., your original buy price).
* **Percentage-Based:** Establish a stop-loss at a pre-defined percentage below your buy price.
* **Stop-Loss Timeout:** Implement a temporary stop-loss that automatically cancels after a designated time frame.
* **Trailing Stop-Loss:** Leverage a dynamic stop-loss that automatically adjusts downward (with a user-defined deviation) as the market price falls, mitigating losses in a downtrend.
* **Move to breakeven:** The trade will be closed when the price falls back to your entry point.

The Smart Trade Terminal is a powerful and versatile trading platform designed to equip both seasoned investors and novice traders with the tools they need to navigate the market effectively. It equips you with a comprehensive suite of tools to navigate both long and short positions effectively, allowing you to capitalise on market opportunities regardless of price direction. We believe in democratising access to sophisticated trading functionalities, levelling the playing field and fostering a community of empowered traders.

# What is API management and how to create it?

What is API management and how to create it?

API stands for Application Programming Interface, which defines a set of rules governing the interaction between two applications. In the context of cryptocurrency trading, an API enables you to connect with your exchange, granting you access to real-time market data, trade execution, and account management functionalities.

To create an API, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Once on the homepage, navigate to the top right corner and click on the person symbol representing your personal details.
3. Inside the personal details section, locate the "API Management" tab.
4. Click on the "Create API" option.
5. You can label your API for identification purposes.
6. For verification purposes, a code will be sent to your registered phone number.
7. Enter the verification code to confirm the creation of your API.

By following these steps, you can successfully create an API for your cryptocurrency trading needs.

# Basic Information

#### **API Basic Information**

· baseurl `https://openapi.nomoex.com`

· All endpoints return either a JSON object or array.

· Data is returned in **Reverse** order. newest first, oldest last.

· All time and timestamp related fields are in milliseconds.

#### **HTTP Error Codes**

* HTTP 4XX return codes are used for malformed requests; the issue is on the sender's side.
* HTTP 429 return code is used when breaking a request rate limit.
* HTTP 418 return code is used when an IP has been auto-banned for continuing to send requests after receiving 429 codes.
* HTTP 5XX return codes are used for internal errors
* HTTP 504 return code is used when the API successfully sent the message but not get a response within the timeout period. It is important to NOT treat this as a failure operation; the execution status is UNKNOWN and could have been a success.
* All endpoints can possibly return an ERROR, the error payload is as follows:

{

"code": -1121,

"msg": "Invalid symbol."

}

### General Information

· All requests are based on the Https protocol, and the `Content-Type` in the request header information needs to be uniformly set to:`'application/json'`

· For the interface of the `GET` method, the parameters must be sent in the `query string`

· The interface of the `POST` method, the parameters must be sent in the `request body`

· Parameters may be sent in any order.

### LIMITS

· There will be a limited frequency description below each interface.

· A 429 will be returned when either rate limit is violated.

· A 429 will be returned when either rate limit is violated.

### **Endpoint Security Type**

* Each endpoint has a security type that determines how you will interact with it.
* API-keys are passed into the Rest API via the X-CH-APIKEY header.
* API-keys and secret-keys are case sensitive.

Security TypeDescriptionNONEEndpoint can be accessed freely.TRADEEndpoint requires sending a valid API-Key and signature.USER\_DATAEndpoint requires sending a valid API-Key and signature.USER\_STREAMEndpoint requires sending a valid API-Key.MARKET\_DATAEndpoint requires sending a valid API-Key.

### SIGNED (TRADE and USER\_DATA) endpoint security

· When calling the `TRADE` or `USER_DATA` interface, the signature parameter should be passed in the `X-CH-SIGN` field in the HTTP header.

· The signature uses the `HMAC SHA256` algorithm. The `API-Secret` corresponding to the API-KEY is used as the `HMAC SHA256` key.

· The request header of `X-CH-SIGN` is based on `timestamp` + `method` + `requestPath` + `body string` (+ means string connection) as the operation object

· The value of `timestamp` is the same as the `X-CH-TS` request header, `method` is the request method, and the letters are all uppercase: `GET/POST`

· `requestPath` is the request interface path For example: `/sapi/v1/order`

· `body` is the string of the request body (post only)

· The signature is not case sensitive.

### **Timing Security**

* The signature interface needs to pass the timestamp in the X-CH-TS field in the HTTP header, and its value should be the unix timestamp of the request sending time e.g. 1528394129373
* An additional parameter, recvWindow, may be sent to specify the number of milliseconds after timestamp the request is valid for. If recvWindow is not sent, it defaults to 5000.
* In addition, if the server calculates that the client's timestamp is more than one second ‘in the future’ of the server’s time, it will also reject the request.
* The logic is as follows:

if (timestamp < (serverTime + 1000) && (serverTime - timestamp) <= recvWindow) {

// process request

} else {

// reject request

}

Serious trading is about timing. Networks can be unstable and unreliable, which can lead to requests taking varying amounts of time to reach the servers. With recvWindow, you can specify that the request must be processed within a certain number of milliseconds or be rejected by the server.

It is recommended to use a small recvWindow of 5000 or less!

# Websocket

`Websocket` is a new HTML5 Protocol. It achieves full-duplex data transmission between the client and the server, allowing data to be transferred effectively in both directions. With just only one handshake, the connection between the client and the server is established. The server will then be able to push data to the client according to preset rules. Its advantages include:

* The `WebSocket` request header for data transmission between client and server is approximately 2 bytes only
* Either the client or server can initiate a data transmission
* As there is no need to create and delete TCP connection repeatedly, it saves resources for both bandwidth and server

## Ws information <a href="#ws-information" id="ws-information"></a>

* URL: [wss://ws.nomoex.com/kline-api/ws](wss://wspool.hiotc.pro/kline-api/ws)
* The returned data will be binary compressed except the heartbeat data (the user needs to decompress through Gzip algorithm)

## Command Format <a href="#command-format" id="command-format"></a>

# Common Problems

### **What is the maximum difference between the timestamp parameter of the request interface and the arrival time of the server?** <a href="#what-is-the-maximum-difference-between-the-timestamp-parameter-of-the-request-interface-and-the-arri" id="what-is-the-maximum-difference-between-the-timestamp-parameter-of-the-request-interface-and-the-arri"></a>

When the server receives the request, it will judge the timestamp in the request. If it is sent before 5000 milliseconds, the request will be considered invalid. This time window value can be customized by sending the optional parameter recvWindow.

### The request header "X-CH-TS" cannot be empty. How to solve it? <a href="#the-request-header-x-ch-ts-cannot-be-empty-how-to-solve-it" id="the-request-header-x-ch-ts-cannot-be-empty-how-to-solve-it"></a>

First, it is recommended that the user print out the X-CH-TS, and check whether the X-CH-TS is empty when there is an exception, and it is recommended that the user code is optimized, and judge whether the X-CH-TS is empty before each request.

### Why does authentication always return invalid signatures? <a href="#why-does-authentication-always-return-invalid-signatures" id="why-does-authentication-always-return-invalid-signatures"></a>

You can print out the request header information and the string before signature, with the following points:：

Compare your request header with the following request header example one by one

```
Example request header:Content-Type: application/jsonX-CH-APIKEY: 44c541a1-****-****-****-10fe390df2X-CH-SIGN: ssseLeefrffraoEQ3yI9qEtI1CZ82ikZ4xSG5Kj8gnl3uw=X-CH-TS: 1574327555669// Some code
```

### Is the API-key configured correctly in the program <a href="#is-the-api-key-configured-correctly-in-the-program" id="is-the-api-key-configured-correctly-in-the-program"></a>

Whether the string before signing conforms to the standard format, the order of all elements must be consistent. You can copy the following example to compare with your string before signing:

```
GET Example： 1588591856950GET/sapi/v1/accountPOST Example：1588591856950POST/sapi/v1/order/test{"symbol":"BTCUSDT","price":"9300","volume":"1","side":"BUY","type":"LIMIT"}// Some code
```

### The calling interface prompts ILLEGAL\_CONTENT\_TYPE (-1017). What is the reason? <a href="#the-calling-interface-prompts-illegal_content_type-1017-what-is-the-reason" id="the-calling-interface-prompts-illegal_content_type-1017-what-is-the-reason"></a>

We recommend attaching Content-Type to all request headers and setting it to application/json

### Is there a limit to the frequency of API calls per second? <a href="#is-there-a-limit-to-the-frequency-of-api-calls-per-second" id="is-there-a-limit-to-the-frequency-of-api-calls-per-second"></a>

There are restrictions. For details, see the access frequency restrictions for each interface in the document.
